Your Responsibilities

As a UX Writer/Content Designer (m/f/d), you will collaborate closely with our Designers, UX Researchers, Product Owners and Engineers to develop an outstanding next-generation experience. Your focus is to facilitate smooth interactions, minimize friction, and ultimately elevate the overall user experience of our software products. 

Your tasks will include:  

Content creation and editing:

• Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and developers, to generate concise and user-centric content.
• Creates microcopy for buttons, error messages, tooltips, and other interface elements, ensuring they are clear and concise, and guide users seamlessly through their journey.
• Crafts inclusive content, accessible to all users, considering diverse language preferences and abilities.

Quality assurance:

• Develops and maintains a comprehensive set of content guidelines and best practices that serve as a reference for the organization, promoting a unified approach to content creation.
• Ensures that the UX content aligns with DocuWare values and the writing guidelines.

Content Localization

• Collaborates with product managers and linguists (internal and external of DocuWare) to ensure that content is effectively adapted for global audiences, considering cultural nuances and regional preferences.

Customer Centricity

• Builds a strong understanding of DocuWare users and crafts copy to support an experience that works for their unique needs
• Works closely with the UX research and design teams to conduct content tests and user feedback sessions. Ensures that all content is written with a keen understanding of the user’s needs, goals, and pain points.
• Promotes a mindset of empathy and an appreciation for diverse perspectives in UX Writing

What you need to succeed

• You have several years of professional experience as a UX Writer or Content Designer, specializing in writing for usability and content strategy concepts.
• Your written and verbal communication skills in both German and English are excellent, and you can articulate a strong rationale for UX content decisions effectively.
• You are well-versed in Accessibility standards, UX Writing for mobile apps, and content design for conversational interfaces.
• You are proficient with design software tools, particularly FIGMA, and localisation platforms like CrowdIn.
• You have a solid technical understanding, enabling you to translate complex software products into user-friendly language.
• Your high level of creativity, keen eye for detail, and empathy for the user experience make you an exceptional UX professional.

Please include a portfolio with your CV, showcasing project work samples and your role in that project.
